Conservation Officer

Are you deeply committed to environmental protection and wildlife conservation, and looking to contribute through meaningful, impact-driven work? Do you want to work with a group that actually makes a difference on the ground? That is backed by a team of some of the best lawyers in India? We are seeking an experienced and motivated Conservation Officer to join our team.

Our office is in Mumbai. You will be reporting to the Executive Trustee.

We are looking for a young individual with a high level of motivation, who should be prepared to work both in the office and in the field, with
• Prior relevant experience (1–3 years) in environmental conservation, wildlife protection, ecology, law, or related fields.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in challenging situations and manage responsibilities independently.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills – both written and verbal
Experience in research, documentation, coordination, or policy-related work; field exposure would be useful but not mandatory.
• Working knowledge of environmental and wildlife laws would be an advantage.
• Ability to quickly pick up new skills and adapt to evolving responsibilities.
• Genuine passion for the environment, wildlife, and conservation work.

Additionally:
Skills in computers, photography, GIS, etc. are desirable. Languages – English, Marathi, Hindi are essential

Age:
25-40, but may be relaxed for deserving candidates

Remuneration:
Negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Intern with CAT

We welcome students willing to intern with us on environment related / legal issues. Interns can write to us with a brief summary about their background. Interns are expected to work with us for atleast 12 weeks.
