“ The sense of freedom and joy that one experiences in the wilderness is difficult to put into words.” To care and to love is what we should learn from Mr. Debi Goenka, doesn’t matter if it is for the people or the nature. He is the Executive Trustee and the founder of the Indian NGO -The Conservation Action Trust(CAT) . He has been a part of the World Wide Fund(WWF),BEAG and has been active in the conservation movement of India since 1975. Because of his efforts, the iconic Coastal Regulation Zone(CRZ) was implemented by Ministry of Environment and Forests) In this talk, he speaks about his journey from a keen nature enthusiast to an active conservationist and environmentalist and how his mission of spreading the awareness of mangrove protection in spite of all the impediments shaped the future of mangrove protection and regulation.
