Satpuda Landscape Tiger Programme (SLTP) is a network of partners working together for the protection of tigers, tiger habitats and the corridors. As a partner of the SLTP network, CAT makes legal representations on cases concerning tigers, their habitat and the corridor areas. CAT’s expertise on forest conservation issues along with the support provided by its expert legal resources highlight the violations of laws and policies protecting wildlife and their habitat and ensures suitable punitive action is taken. CAT works to strengthen the laws and policy governing India’s environment and ensuring the implementation of same. CAT provides with the technical information and legal advice to put a check on the superfluous projects, wherever it disregards forest and environmental issues, especially in the Satpuda landscape.
